About Me

Hi! I began singing at the age of 8. Over the years, I developed my skills further by doing choir from elementary school to college as well as private lessons. I gained performance experience in the voice, audio production area by performing in Sound Recording Technology ensembles and taking private audio production lessons. Though I can teach many genres of music, my personal favorites are R & B, Jazz, and pop which had a great influence on my style of singing and performing. I love music because it opens up a whole other world that is unimaginable and I love teaching music because it is a joy to see your students love music as much as you do. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Getting to know there voice and theirselves personally. Vocal warm-ups and expansion of range. Being able to get out of their comfort zone while learning techniques that will help them with any song of their choosing. Learning about breath support One on one dedicated to making all musical goals come true.

Formal Education:

I went to school all over the state due to being a military kid. My parents finally settled down in Austin, TX where I graduated and moved on to college. I attended Texas State University for a year and soon realized it wasn’t the school for me. Now, I am currently at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches and I am loving it!

Private Education:

I have received multiple private lessons vocally and once I joined the music program here in Nacogdoches I was required to take 4 semesters of vocal lessons. Now, I am taking vocal lessons on the side.

Performing Experience:

In high school, I performed at TMEA which is a convention for Texas educators. My choir had the luxury of being invited. We also performed at the renaissance festival every year and we would perform all sorts of music to compete against other schools. I also did solo and ensemble every year of high school as well as a couple of Region performances. I even sang the solo at my graduation. Currently, since I changed colleges my program puts on a show every semester with popular songs. During Covid season, we were making music videos and doing a live stream and now we are going back to having live experiences.

Experience Teaching:

I have been teaching children since I was 13 years old. I would tutor as well as do music lessons for ages 4-14. I currently teach a couple kids on the side teaching them the beauty of the instrument ukulele.
