Jonathan began playing guitar at the age of ten. Over the years, he developed his skills further by studying classical music. He gained performance experience in the classical guitar area by playing at such venues as HCC Dale Mabry's SGA series and with acts such as Lakeland Community Theatre and the Derry Down. Though Jonathan can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical guitar, introductory jazz, and acoustic guitar which had a great influence on his style of playing. Jonathan loves music because it is a fundamental part of his life and a universal language that uplifts the spirit and loves teaching music because he wants to see those that seek it fall in love playing. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Jonathan can help you expand and enhance your playing. Jonathan is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
A structured path of technical and musical development that incorporates elements of technique building, how to practice efficiently to meet your goals, musical phrasing, analysis of musical passages and a better understanding of music theory, playing activities and how to use practical exercises, and encouragement to your playing! You may bring any musical works or skill sets you wish to work on to our lessons. I will provide resources from numerous guitar methods and form playing activities to ensure your success in your musical practice! All experience levels welcomed.
