Hi, my name is Brenda and I am a piano and music teacher from Burnsville, Minnesota. I have been a student of music for over 30 years. I studied vocal performance and piano at the University of Minnesota. My musical influences include classics and I also enjoy contemporary. My teaching style can best be described as fun and energetic. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I enjoy starting kids out. I am a behavior therapist on the side and know how to motivate children to enjoy the learning experience.. In my lessons, you can expect to learn scales, basics, fun songs. I like to tell my students how to work in small sections and play fun songs they like. My favorite thing about teaching is inspiring young learners.. My students love that I am fun and build them up. I primarily teach piano but I can also teach voice. My approach as a teacher is to keep it fun. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

Beginner -
During the first lesson, the student will have a scale to work on and 3 or 4 simple songs. The student will have simple written notes to draw and be introduced to my incentive program. I can’t wait to meet you!
