Hi, My name is Amy and I am from Livingston, Texas. My journey as a musician began when I was 12 playing flute in band and singing in choir at school. As that love for music grew, I went on to study singing further in college and completed my Bachelors in Vocal Performance at McNeese State University in Lake Charles Louisiana in 2019. Following that, I moved here to Memphis to work on my Master's degree in Vocal Pedagogy at the University of Memphis which I completed this past May in 2021! In my vocal studies I trained in a variety of styles including opera, musical theatre, and contemporary commercial music. All of which I offer singing lessons in! I also performed in several full length musical theatre productions and opera scenes including The Secret Garden as Lily Craven, and Songs for A New World as Woman 3, and Act 3 of Orfeo Ed Euridice as Orfeo. I also love to assist singers in their audition preparations! Ultimately my goal as a singing teacher is to help my students reach THEIR goals. I customize my lessons to what the student wishes to learn and to what is appropriate for them to achieve their own personal goals as a singer and musician. I have been teaching voice to ages 4-40 for the past 2 years and I have loved working with every age group! Hope to meet you soon!
