Hello! I'm a pianist and vocalist who grew up in Minnesota, lived in Texas for the last five years, and am now a new transplant to Knoxville. I'm an experienced piano teacher, language arts tutor, piano/keyboard accompanist, and church music director.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I am an experienced and effective teacher with a non-threatening presence who knows how to gear material and lesson plans to fit each individual student's need. We always start where the student is at and build on that. I make lessons as fun as possible, stress the importance of daily practice, and work to inspire each individual in reaching their potential as quickly as possible. LESSONS CAN BE FUN.
Formal Education:
B.A. Degree-Psychology and Music (advanced piano), University of Minnesota
Private Education:
Years of private piano instruction followed by pipe organ lessons
Performing Experience:
I've played many weddings, receptions, and funerals; accompanied many church choirs, a community college choir, and the Metropolitan Male Chorus of Minnesota; as well as entertaining (piano and vocal) at many senior care facilities.
Experience Teaching:
25 years teaching piano to both children and adults in-home and through two school districts in their community education programs (Anoka-Hennepin School District, Fridley School District); 4 years teaching music in the classroom.
