Hi, my name is Corina and I am a musician originally from Bradenton, FL. I have been a student of music my whole life but I began experimenting with lessons about 23 years ago. Since then, I have released multiple EP's independently as well as worked on projects in conjunction with UMPG Latin, Self-Helpless and various others. I am currently an active AIMP member and am registered with both ASCAP and BMI publishing. My musical influences include Sting, Anderson .Paak, Blondie, and many more. My teaching style can best be described as creative and hands-on. I believe each student needs to find their own joy in playing and it's up to me to find which pieces best inspire them or what strengths and weaknesses they can improve on. It's very important to me that each lesson be enjoyable, constructive, and productive and I look forward to bringing the potential out of each of my students. In my lessons, you can expect to learn songwriting tools, vocal technique, and explore music performance as well as a bit of improvisation. I primarily teach songwriting and offer vocal lessons but I am also able to teach basic piano if needed. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

Beginner - Intermediate
My students can expect to learn classic song structures, techniques, as well as popular chord progressions. We'll explore themes, hooks, melodies and ways to think creatively to form your own sound and style as a writer. "Are you writing for yourself?" "Are you writing to feel connected to others?" "Are you writing for an arena?"-These are the kinds of questions I'll be asking to better paint the picture of who you are as a writer and how we can finetune your skills and passion into something you can be proud of.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
My vocal lessons are centered around finding your true voice. From your mental headspace to your vocal headspace, my goal as a vocal teacher is to figure out what you want out of your voice and how we can get you there. Whether you want to belt or sing falsetto, we will establish your range and then work to strengthen and expand it.
Formal Education:
I received a B.S. in Telecommunications Film Production from the University of Florida and during my time there I was the Vice President of the Singer-Songwriter Society, Secretary of the Hip-Hop Collective, and a member of an afro-cuban ensemble, Fundamento Rumbero. I also attended the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles for a few quarters where I studied voice, piano and electronic production.
Private Education:
I have taken private voice, songwriting, drum, piano and music production lessons.
Performing Experience:
Extensive performances throughout the greater Los Angeles area as well as in Gainesville, FL. I have played with a live band for the last 9 years.
Experience Teaching:
I have worked as an after-school tutor teaching all of the gen ed courses and have privately coached songwriting, voice and music business as well.
