Peace and Blessings! My name is Earl Johnson III. He began playing drums at the age of 9 and fell in love with the Rhythm of life. Over the years, he developed his skills further by participating in an Award-winning Drumline/.Majorette team performing at various competitions here in Memphis Tn. When he was 12, he started playing Piano at a proficient rate and won various accolades on local and state levels. He continued this accumulation whilst he was Auditioned into Overton High Creative and Performing Arts School. He gained performance experience by performing in Piano Recitals for Schools and Churches. He also performed with Overton’s Blue Jazz Ensemble for 2 years as a Pianist. In the jazz area by he’s played at such venues as the Savanna’s Jazz festival and Swing Central in Lafayette, La. Earl has had numerous engagements from dinners, church events, art galleries, as well as award shows here throughout Memphis. Though Earl can teach many diverse genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Classical, Jazz, RnB, Pop, Neo-Soul and Gospel which have great influences on his style of playing. it Earl loves music because it has not only healed him but can heal others and promote harmony and loves teaching music because he feels everyone should be able to experience the world of expression that music has to offer.
