Hi, my name is Andrew and I am a musician born and raised in Arizona. I have been a student of music for 28 years. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Music Performance Degree. My musical influences include Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Metal, Folk, Rockabilly amongst others. I also enjoy drinking coffee and jamming with other musicians. I play guitar, piano, and bass, as well as pounding on the drums in my spare time. My teaching style can best be described as interactive, personalized, and engaging. I believe in making the musical learning process a fun and educational experience. My teaching philosophy focuses on the students' needs, the fundamentals of music, generating creativity, critical thinking skills, and enhancing individual performance. My favorite thing about teaching is using my knowledge and skills to help students grow in their musical journey, watching students succeed in their individual goals, and the joy experienced when accomplishing one's goals. My students love that I am calm, patient, personable, and understanding. I primarily teach guitar classical, electric, and acoustic, but I can also teach the piano and bass guitar. My approach as a teacher is to create situations where the student can get the most well rounded music education possible, and to give the students the tools needed to become their own musician with their own voice.
