Hi, my name is Jorge and I am a guitarist from Katy, Texas. I have been playing music for over 20 years. My musical influences range from soft/classic rock through 70s funk and 80 retro, weaving in between 90s alternative rock and grunge all the way to heavy metal and some new mainstream artists. There is no such thing as bad music, just different tastes. My teaching style can best be described as fun, purposeful and to the point. My teaching philosophy? I believe everyone is able play any instrument given enough time with it in their hands. In my lessons, you can expect me to do everything in my power to help you play the song you’ve always wanted to learn, or write the song you’ve always wanted to write. I like to tell my students: if you think back to when you first started, did you ever think you’d be playing this song? My favorite thing about teaching is seeing someone for the first time able to understand/play/perform the thing they’ve been working on. My students love that I make lessons interesting. I primarily teach guitar and bass, but I can also teach piano/keyboard/songwriting. My goal is to help everyone be able to have fun playing their favorite instrument!
