Joel began singing at the age of 13. Over the years, he developed his skills further by practicing and participating in voice lessons and eventually studying voice at Florida International University. He gained performance experience in the voice area by playing at such venues as Boca Black Box, Seminole Theatre, and the Broward Performing Arts Center.. Though Joel can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are musical theatre and pop. which had great influence on his style of singing.Joel loves music because it inspires people. and loves teaching music because it’s his passion that he wants others to experience too. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Work on scales and sight reading the basis of music. Finger positioning, developing skills to not have to look at the keyboard while playing. Working on pieces that improve sight reading at the end of each lesson.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
Technical work on improving the singing voice. This includes works on relaxing the singing muscles. Improving the breathing technique, improving tone quality, improvement on ear pitch recognition, and work on a familiar song.
Formal Education:
Studied at Miami Dade College and received an Associates of Arts degree in Music. Studied at Florida International University and received a Bachelor’s Of Arts degree in Music.
Performing Experience:
Performed at the Boca Black Box. Performed with various professional amd non professional organizations. Genres from classical to musical theatre to pop to choir and ensemble work.
Experience Teaching:
Teaches adult singing both privately and in group settings. Teaches kid singing at any level both privately and in a group setting.
