What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginners: 6 Months-1 to 2 Years of Playing Open Chords, Strumming Patterns, Introduction to Major/Minor/Pentatonic/Blues Scales, Pentatonic Boxes, Introduction to Arpeggios, Introduction to Music Theory, Ear Training, Barre Chords, Introductory Solo, how to tune by ear, parts of the instrument, How to Hold the Instrument, How to hold a pick, Fingerpicking Styles, Correction of bad Habits These concepts will be introduced in a song format, students will choose the songs that will encompass these concepts. Intermediate: A minimum of 1 Year of Playing with a decent understanding of Chords and Pentatonic Scales CAGED Patterns, Arpeggios and Scales integration, Extended Harmony Chords, Chord Scales, More Ear Training, Breaking out of the Pentatonic Box, Learning Solos and How to learn solos, Learning songs by ear, drop tuning, navigating the fretboard These concepts will be attempted to be introduced in a song format, the instructor may choose the songs that will encompass these concepts. Advanced: A strong grasp on the instrument, decent playing habits, a base understanding of music theory, typically someone who's been playing for at least 4+ years. Advanced Arpeggios, Songwriting Techniques, Scale/Chord Relationships, Advanced Scales, Playing outside the Box, Target Notes, Ear Training, Modes, Interval Training, Advanced guitar techniques.
