Hi, my name is Cameron and I am a student from Florida. I have been a student of music for 2 years, but have played since I was 6 years old. My musical influences include classic and modern rock, and I also enjoy classical music. My teaching style can best be described as relaxed. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I try to understand each student's problems and help them personally. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to read music, either on staff or tablature, pieces of music that will improve your skills, and music of your own choosing. I like to tell my students that they can express themselves musically. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students grow as musicians. My favorite performance was Prelude No. 1 by Heitor Villa-Lobos. I primarily teach classical guitar, but I can also teach electric guitar and piano. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I will be able to provide to beginners material to learn the musical staff/tablature, and then beginning advice for hand positioning. I will also be able to provide exercises to improve their strength. If needed, I have some beginner-friendly studies for them to learn, or popular music if electric. For intermediate learners, I will be able to provide studies and other pieces for them to improve their dexterity and other skills. I also have access to MuseScore in order to create personal worksheets.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
For beginners, I will be able to provide material to learn to read the grand staff and musical notation. I also have a text book of beginner exercises in order to familiarize the students with scales, chords, triads, etc... as well as a slew of short and simple pieces. For intermediates, it will be more focused on strengthening their skills through learning and sculpting more advanced pieces. It will also allow the students to give pieces that they feel like they would like to try. I also have access to MuseScore in order to create personal worksheets.
