Hi, my name is Takoda and I am a Guitar player and instructor from Tucson, AZ. I have been a student of music for over 16 years. My musical influences include many genres from Blues, Rock, and Soul to Country and Jazz. My teaching style can best be described as enjoyable, both for my student and myself. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I not only want to teach people how to play music but how to LOVE music. In my lessons, you can expect to learn Any style of music you want, and learn to explore new styles! I like to tell my students that there is a place for them somewhere within the world of music, and I would love to help them find that place. My favorite thing about teaching is sharing my love of music with students the same age I was when I fell in love with the art. My favorite performances are the local shows with crowds I can get to know. My students love that my main focus is showing them how much fun music can be and how much better life can be with music in it. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach bass and songwriting. Students can expect an experience specifically tailored to their needs and wants. I want to work with the students as much as I can to develop both perfect technique AND musical interest! We can learn many genres, or focus on one specifically and make you an expert.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner
Beginning bass lessons to learn the basics of the instrument and the basics of playing music in general. Bass lessons can also focus on ensemble playing, or playing with others, as bass players are so often a part of a group.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Learn how to write songs that will speak to your audience! We can go over everything from Music Theory to Lyric writing to Arrangement.
