Hi! My name is Sandra and I'm a university music student living in Tempe, AZ. I've been a student of music for 15 years; vocals, guitar, piano and a few others. My teaching style can best be described as flexible in order to work with students at different levels. In my lessons, you can expect to learn techniques and insights that I've learned over the years. I like to tell my students that everyone's learning styles and approach can be slightly different, and it's my job to work with you to help you succeed. Beginner - - Intermediate
Students can expect help in understanding and identifying the different aspects of the guitar, expanding their technique how to play open chords, strum a few patterns, and finger pick a few patterns if you're feeling up to a challenge, how to read chord charts, tabs, and sheet music, as well as a basic understanding in music theory to help feel more comfortable in understanding the song.
What to expect in my
Beginner -
Students can expect to learn warm up techniques to help train and support their voice, help in identifying different qualities of their voice and how to safely manipulate it, constructive feedback and various techniques to apply to song repertoire of their choice, suggestions for furthering repertoire, and basic understanding of music theory in relation to reading sheet music and understanding the song.
Formal Education:
Currently completing a degree in Music Therapy at Arizona State University, my main instrument is voice. I've taken Music for GCSEs and A-Levels, which is equivalent to four-years of high school. These lessons included expanding my musicianship in voice, guitar, and piano.
Private Education:
Voice (2), Mezzo Soprano. Piano (2, 2, independent learning 2). Guitar (2, independent learning 2).

Solo performances (Performing 2-4 shows a year): ASU Voice Studio Recital (2), Sigma Alpha Iota Musicale (2), Private Lessons (2).
