Hi, my name is Max and I am a musician from Fredericksburg. I have been a student of music for 16 years. My musical influences include Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Stevie Ray Vaughan, but I play in all sorts of genres. My teaching style can best be described as visual, and pattern-oriented. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe that anyone is capable of learning an instrument with enough dedication in practice. In my lessons, you can expect to learn useful skills, techniques, and ideas to further ones musicianship. I like to tell my students their progress and help them find ways to improve and learn. My favorite thing about teaching is being involved with music, and discovering and sharing new ideas with new people. My favorite performance was Chris Cornell live at the Troubadour, singing Ticket to Ride! My students love that I have a sense of humor. I primarily teach hard rock techniques, but I can also teach within other genres such as blues and jazz. My approach as a teacher is to be kind and patient, humble and understanding!
