Hello rockstars of the future! My name is Kyle and I have been playing guitar for 15 years. I started when i was 9 years old and fell in love immediately. My first pull into the world of music came from the legend Stevie Ray Vaughan. I grew up with live concert DVDs falling off of the shelf, and would spend my days pouring through the content. Although Stevie was my first taste of the guitar world, it wasn't until I watched AC/DC live that I truly found my calling. In the 5th grade, I started my first band. We were an AC/DC tribute band called "High Voltage" and since then i have had multiple different bands and musical ventures. The ability to express emotion in a way where words fall short keeps me tied to the guitar. If you have the drive to learn an instrument, you will never find yourself bored or alone. To me, music is a best friend that is always there. It’s my goal to share this amazing relationship with the world. I can teach anything from country to heavy metal, although my personal playing style relies heavily on blues and riff based rock and roll. Whether you play acoustic or electric, all I require is a desire to learn and to be the best musician that you can be! Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect a guitar lesson plan catered to each individual's personal interests and goals to keep each student engaged. Expect to be challenged while having fun in a high energy environment. At the end of each lesson, the student will be given some type of homework and if completed and practiced by the next lesson, I will have a new exciting challenge prepared to keep students learning and improving.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Teaching songwriting is an entire different entity than teaching an instrument. Students learning to write songs must have a strong drive to succeed. Students will be taught phrasing, time signatures and shown different foundations upon which to build a song. Students must be willing to accept constructive criticism and be open to different ideas. However, song writing is a highly personal process, so while I will put as much as i can into every lesson, students should expect to spend a great deal of time by themselves crafting what they feel is the right song.
