Hi, my name is Alexandria and I am a singer/songwriter from San Francisco, Ca. I have been a student of music for 11 years. My musical influences include alternative/pop and I also enjoy R&B. My teaching style can best be described as challenging and fun!. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want to see my students thrive in their own unique way. In my lessons, you can expect to learn control, precision and confidence.
I like to tell my students talent can make you good but hard work and dedication makes you great. My favorite thing about teaching is fostering new talent and a love for music. My favorite performance was at the Oregon Arts Festival. My students love that I am fun and easy to communicate with. I primarily teach songwriting, but I can also teach vocals and/or guitar. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner
In these lessons you will learn structuring techniques and ways of moving past difficult writing blocks. I will assist with lyrical analysis and flow, overall concepts and story lines. I can also assist in finding music for your melodies or vise versa!
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner
In these vocal lessons I will teach you breathe control and breathing techniques. You will learn how to use your body to project and strengthen your voice. I will help you expand upon or flesh out your range with added support as well as give pointers on stylistic approaches.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Beginner guitar players will be taught hand positioning, chords, scales, strumming patterns and a bit of music theory to get you started on your musical journey!
