Music has always been a passion for me. I began playing piano at the age of 9. During that time frame I sing on my church’s children’s choir and would also sing in my schools choirs as well. At about 13 my voice began to change and that led me to want to take voice lessons. After singing with that teacher for a year or so we unlocked a hidden potential in me. I discovered I had a voice that could be groomed for opera.
Thus, my musical training turned from leisure piano and voice lessons to a more rigorous approach with voice as my focus. I would go on to attend a prestigious high school program in South Carolina known as the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. I would be accepted into some of the countries top music programs including the Eastman School of music and San Francisco Conservatory. I ultimately decided to attended UNC-Greensboro where I was guaranteed roles and lots of performing experience. Since college I have ventured into the world of musical theater.
I am currently working at Walt Disney World in Finding Nemo the musical as well as working on a pop oriented EP. Training made me a reliable singer, but life has made me a versatile artist.
