5 Years
I am a multi-instrumentalist from Fort Worth. I studied low brass in school but always had a knack for the rhythm section. I began playing the drums at the age of four. I continued the drums through school and went to school on a drum scholarship. While in college, I began studying the piano and Hammond organ. I have played overseas on a number of tours and that has been a major highlight of my life.
I returned to college to learn my passion of recording music and completed the Audio Technology program at Cedar Valley College. I have never been more proud, since finishing college, I began a digital media company and I produce my own podcasts and radio shows, I own an internet radio station and when I began to write about some of the artists I knew, it became a path to freelance journalism!
I will always be a musician and I would love to share the gift of music with potential learners through Taylor Robinson Music Lessons!
fred w. has over 5 years of music experience in the Fort Worth area.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Students can expect to learn the responsibility of the drummer in a band. When I grew up, drummers were considered the "backbeat" of the band and everything depended on the drummer. Once that was solid, the drummer and bass locked in and created a bottom for the band to "sit" on. Also, the skill of playing in the "pocket" and how to enhance the band without overplaying. These are things that are somewhat missing in music today but students today are already so advenced, I want to parse the old school with the new to help create well rounded, skilled musicians!
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
I'll teach students what I know and how to "talk" from the keys. I have spent the length of my playing career as an accompanist and my focus has always been to learn the chords and phrases that best pair with singers and lead line instruments. We'll have fun learning how to play the whole instrument!
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
What goes into a good recording? Mic placement, gain settings, is your board setup right? In a digital world, things like these are often overlooked. By parsing analog technology practices with digital capabilities, I'll teach students how to best maximize the DAW of their choosing or how to make a great record in the studio!
