Steven began playing classical guitar at the age of 10. Over the years, he developed his skills further by taking private lessons with Miroslav Lončar and undergoing tutelage in classical guitar at the College of William & Mary with Timothy Olbrych where he received several scholarships.
He gained performance experience in the DC and surrounding metropolitan area by playing at such venues as the Kennedy Center, NIH, Croatian Embassy, VMEA, Saint Paul the Apostle Cathedral, and several guitar festivals. He underwent masterclasses with acts such as Grammy award winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Ana Vidović, Zoran Dukić, etc and he won several awards at Beatty guitar, Aguado guitar, and the Lions of Virginia Bland music competitions.
Though Steven can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical, flamenco, fusion rock, jazz, and classic rock which had great influence on his style of playing. Steven loves music because it enriches his life and allows him to express himself fully and loves teaching music because of the joy of sharing music and the growth it provides.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Tutelage that focuses on proper fundamentals such as the ever-important ergonomics of playing the guitar along with guided instruction in technique, music theory, and performance. Students of all levels can expect to learn not only technique but also aspects of freedom in musical interpretation. I will guide the student to play comfortably, effortlessly, while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Inspired!
I attended my first lesson with Steven tonight and completely enjoyed it! Steven is very thorough with his instruction and was very quick to assess my current skill level.
