Tyra has always loved music from an early age. She began singing at the age of six and has developed her voice by recording and performing with bands. Her musical influences include Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Erykah Badu. Tyra's favorite thing about music is the way it makes you feel, going from a bad day to seeing the glass half full, and her favorite thing about teaching music is seeing her students ecstatic from growing their voice and singing the notes they thought they couldn’t.
