Hi, my name is Nerline and I play the clarinet. My music career began in 6th grade and 12 years later I'm still playing! My teaching style can best be described as technical. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I focus on fundamentals like scales and arpeggios. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the technique required to excel at playing the clarinet. My favorite thing about teaching is exploring the beauty of pieces with my students. My favorite performance was Clair De Lune by Debussy composed for Bb Clarinet. That was one of my first solo pieces and it's a piece I treasure to this day. My students love that I can critique them while still applauding their good points. My goal as a teacher is to support my student's musical journey. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
