About Me

Hi! My name is Tyler and I am a musician from Winter Park, FL. I have been a student of music for 18 years. My musical influences include Rock, Jazz, Blues, Metal and I also enjoy Orchestral music. My teaching style can best be described as accommodating and effective. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I take into account my student's needs and skill level to adjust lesson plans accordingly. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music theory, chord structure, and advanced techniques. I like to tell my students that they can do anything they set their mind to, and I will help them on their path to achieve their aspirations. My favorite thing about teaching is watching students progress and become excited about what they are learning. My favorite performance was opening for Foghat at the Del Mar County Fair performing various parts of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall.' My students love that I can help tailor my approach to the style they wish to learn. I primarily teach guitar and bass, but I can also teach vocals, songwriting, production, mixing and mastering. My approach as a teacher is to listen to the aspirations of my students and set goals for them to reach through a number of carefully planned exercises. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!
