Joey has always loved music from an early age. He began playing percussion at the age of 12 and continued his education by studying classical percussion at the University of Northern Colorado under Dr. Mike Treusdell. Joey's favorite thing about music is that everyone's sound is different and his favorite thing about teaching music is helping people find that special way to express their self! When taking lessons with Joey you can expect a lot of very specific exercises honing in on the fundamental skills that make drummers percussionists.
