Hi, my name is Hannah and I hail from Claremore, Oklahoma. I have been a student of music for 18 years. My musical influences include many classical composers such as Britten, Gershwin, Ives, and Nico Muhly, and I also enjoy learning from pop music and bands such as Daft Punk, The Talking Heads, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and the Dixie Chicks. My teaching style is direct, to the point, and I consistently see and recognize improvement every week from my students! My teaching philosophy is "Everyone can make music!" In my lessons, you can expect respect and a pleasant learning environment. My favorite thing about teaching is watching the desire to improve transform my students' lives! I primarily teach piano and songwriting for Taylor Robinson Music, but I can also teach harp. My approach as a teacher is to inspire a lifelong passion for music and self-discovery. What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
I love to introduce the concept of hand-eye coordination to beginning piano students. If the student is interested, I am also very experienced in "comping" on the piano-which will be taught using lead sheets and using songs the students already know.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I have a degree in Music Composition and I have been in two local bands in the last 2 years, and have performed with several other bands on the fly. I write everything from songs to complete orchestral works. I am fully capable of helping students create songs or small compositions that they could give to a band/ recording studio to pitch or record. I am very familiar with Sibelius, Finale, and Logic softwares.
