Hi, my name is Orville, and I am a Professional Musician from originally from Miami, Florida and specifically North Miami Beach, Florida. I have been a student of music for over 40 years. My musical influences include all rock and Roll from the 1950s to the current day, and I also enjoy playing the Blues and good classic rock. The Beach Boys and The Beatles were major influences not necessarily on guitar but for their amazing sense of melodies and excellent beautiful harmonies which greatly influenced my vocal capacities and abilities, and in turn, made me a better lead guitarist. My teaching style can best be described as just playing from the heart and adapting to the students needs and desires. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want my students to play from the HEART !!!. In my lessons, you can expect to learn techniques that will develop progress quickly for both hand coordination and dexterity up stroke and down stroke philosophies to develop speed and fluidity to practice scales and modes Also, to learn how Chords are developed and built upon by scales and chord inversions. I like to tell my students JUST PLAY FROM THE HEART !!! that is how magic occurs spontaneously sometimes. My favorite thing about teaching is that it is so fun to watch my students grow and their passion to stick it out and not quit. My favorite performance was watching Jimi Hendrix live in concert in Dania, Florida. My students love that I teach them what they want. I primarily teach for Lead guitarists to improve their playing with finesse melody and fluidity. but I can also teach Blues, soul, country, and jazz too. My approach as a teacher is to listen, examine, develop an approach or particular plan for that student. but most of all make them enjoy themselves playing their chosen instrument FROM THE HEART !!!
