Hi, my name is Jesse and I am a guitar player from Moore, Ok. I have been a student of music for 13 years. I have been involved with music ministry since I was 15. Through church, AI have been able to play at many different churches and events around Oklahoma and Texas. My wife and I are the current worship leaders at Riverlife Church of God in Moore. My musical influences are Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Bethel, Metallica, Anberlin, Green Day, Linkin Park, and Avenged Sevenfold. and I also enjoy many classical artists as well. My teaching style can best be described as creative. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I will do everything to the best of my ability to help a student understand a concept. I will teach or explain from many points of view until I can find a way that clicks with that specific student and will try similar approaches with that student from then on. In my lessons, you can expect to learn guitar mechanics and basics. Chords, scales and music theory concepts such as modes and how and when to apply them. I like to tell my students guitar can be difficult starting out but once you have some grounded mechanics and knowledge of a few basic concepts, you can really take off with it and have a lot of fun.. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing a student grasp concepts that they might have thought would be difficult at first. My favorite performance was Disciple in 2009 along with Skillet, Decyfer Down, and Pillar at the Coca-Cola events center in Bricktown. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach bass.
