Hi, my name is Deborah and I am a singer/actress from Indiana. I have been a student of music for 25 years. I grew up singing in church choir and at school and eventually went on to earn 2 degrees in music. I have performed all over the country in various musical and opera productions. My teaching style can best be described as energetic and intuitive. It is important that my students feel confident and challenged. I want each student to be able to tell an honest story with healthy singing in any musical genre. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to approach singing for any genre and how to be confident with your voice. I like to tell my students "Every voice is different. Don't try to sound like anyone but yourself." My favorite thing about teaching is when a student has a breakthrough and really starts to "own" their voice. My students love that I am energetic and passionate. I primarily teach musical theatre but I can also teach pop, gospel, country, and classical.
