Hey, my name is Mel. I currently teach Music Theory, Voice, Piano, and Music Composition in the Charleston, SC area. I have a Master's Degree in Music from Erskine Theological Seminary 2011 and a Bachelor's Degree in General Music from Erskine College 2009. I also have over 10 years of musical coaching and conducting experience with all ages and ages from Pre-School to Senior Adults. I have also worked with numerous colleges, churches, and private individuals in a wide array of capacities. My personal musical background includes formal training in Voice, Piano, Trumpet, Handbells, various Percussion instruments, and Guitar. In addition to being a local high school social studies teacher, I also have over 6 years of experience music education experience. In my lessons you can expect to gain a firm grasp of musical knowledge that can be transferred to an endless variety of instruments. I look forward to meeting and working together and jointly sharing a deep love and passion for music!
