Piano students can expect a fun and educational experience, tailored to their individual learning pace and style. Students will learn to read music and improve their understanding of key signatures and scales. Along with learning basic and intermediate skills and foundations, students can openly express the types of music and individual pieces that they would like to learn to play on the piano. Combining classical style music along with the style of music of the individual's preference helps keep student's interested in continuing their education in music and piano.

Students can expect to begin each lesson learning and running through various vocal warm ups, scales, practicing breathing techniques to increase breath control, and excercises to improve vocal tone and range. Additionally, students will learn skills such as sight singing/sight reading and techniques to improve performance quality. I believe that it is essential to learn classical music and vocal skills as well as skills and techniques essential to musical theater. However, aside from classical pieces, I also take into consideration the type of music the student is interested in singing and will assign and help the student learn pieces of their choosing.

Students will learn to express their thoughts and emotions through songwriting, by choosing lyrics that flow well and express their thoughts. Additionally, students can expect to learn how to write and compose different genres and types of music, compose music in various keys, and compose music to accompany their own lyrics.
