I try to create an individualized lesson for each of my students. Everyone learns differently. Students with learn exercises that help develop their skills at the piano. Musical concepts, such as rhythm, phrasing, and theory can be addressed at almost any level. I like to incorporate moving and singing into piano lessons to reinforce ideas. Students are welcome to let me know what kinds of music they enjoy so that can be a part of what they are learning, as well as a set curriculum.

A large part of voice lessons will include learning the skills and techniques that promote healthy singing. Breathing, posture, and sound production are things that singers of all levels need to think about all of the time. No matter the genre you want to sing, these concepts will always apply. Lessons will be individualized depending on a students goals, as well as the types of music they are participating in. I think that it is important for my voice students to be able to read music in order to help themselves be better musicians. That is something that I will help them with. I will choose music that I feel is appropriate for a students needs, as well as taking their requests into consideration.
