About Me
Allyis a Charleston native, attending Ashley Hall before earning her undergraduate degree at Princeton University. There, she majored in neuroscience with minors in voice performance and bioengineering. She is a classically trained vocalist with extensive performing experience, including solo recitals and concert appearances, choral performances, and roles in staged Princeton University operas. Currently, she sings at multiple local churches, is a member of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and serves as the choir director for Restore at Carolina Park. In addition to voice, Ally grew up playing violin and piano, which she enjoys playing in her free time. She adheres to the teaching philosophy that a strong, technical foundation allows students to layer and develop musical expression and creativity. Outside of music, she enjoys reading, writing, spending time outside, and watching movies.
