Hello! My name is Omar and I am a musician from Manila, Philippines but raised in Peoria, AZ. I have been a session singer and musician for about 5+. My musical influences would definitely be the giants like The Beatles to Led Zeppelin to Fleetwood Mac. I would say I have a very wide musical influence than what is listed. My teaching style can best be described as teamwork. We are all improving constantly every time we pick up an instrument. I jump right in and get to know my students and see what their specific needs are. I also try to share my experience and difficulties in the past with plateaus that might hinder their learning. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basics of guitar and singing. I do a lot of youth and young adult work within the Catholic church and do sessions weekly. I primarily teach basics, but if the student wants to learn a specific song, we can definitely work on what they want to accomplish. My approach as a teacher is to make it fun because music is!
