About Me

Patrick has experience in a wide variety of musical ventures. He is a classically trained bassist; having performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from Miami University. Patrick has over a decade of experience playing guitar and bass in various bands. He is also an experienced song writer and audio engineer. Patrick has an easygoing personality and loves to help students achieve their personal goals. His students will learn music theory, classical techniques, and be exposed to a wide variety of genres. He believes that cultivating an appreciation for all kinds of music is essential to personal growth.

Students can expect developing a unique sound—personal expression is key. Gaining experience in a variety of genres will allow students to have a well-rounded approach to their playing. Students will also be exposed to theory and classical technique.


What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students will dive into the craft of bass playing. This will include learning how to sit in the pocket with the rhythm section, how to add personality to their playing, and how to be a bass player that other musicians can rely on. Students can expect a healthy dose of theory, classical technique, and becoming adept in a wide variety of genres.


What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Song writing can be a difficult experience. Conveying emotions through song requires vulnerability, discipline, and patience. Students will learn how to use theory to their advantage. They will learn how to arrange compositions in a way that helps bring their song to light. Most importantly, they will learn how to express themselves through music.

String bass can be an intimidating instrument to master. It requires discipline and an adherence to technique in order to maneuver Students can expect learning through the Simandl method: an effective approach to left-hand fingerings. They can also expect learning both French and German bow—as well as classical and contemporary pizzicato techniques.
