He began playing at the age of 7 and continued his education at Macalester College studying guitar performance, theory and composition, and production. His musical influences include jazz, classical, hip-hop, folk, rock, and world. Holden's favorite thing about music is how it brings people together to express and empathize with that which cannot be understood any other way and his favorite thing about teaching music is helping people to find what they love to play and practice.
