James has always loved music from an early age. He began playing trumpet at the age of 11 and continued his education through high school and college. His musical influences include Jazz, Wind literature, and all things creatively produced. James's favorite thing about music is Performing! His favorite thing about teaching music is the “aha” moment everyone gets when learning something new. One of his favorite teaching experiences was taking his ensemble to a Nationally recognized festival and performing for thousands. When taking lessons with James you can expect an individualized plan that fits your expertise.
