Bass Guitar Lessons, Orchestral Lessons

1 Years
Jared has always loved music from an early age. He began playing double bass at the age of 11 and electric bass at 15, and he continued his education by going to Georgia State University on a presidential scholarship. Jared has also studied music in Paris in 2018. His musical influences include everything from Beethoven to Led Zeppelin to Marvin Gaye. Jared's favorite thing about music is the joy it gives everyone listening and his favorite thing about teaching music is helping others create that joy. One of his favorite teaching experiences was teaching a young child how to play Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple and hearing from their parents that they played it non stop for a week straight. When taking lessons with Jared you can expect results, progress and a happy atmosphere He looks forward to getting to know you as a student and learning about your specific goals, interests, and learning style. Jared S. has over 1 years of music experience in the Atlanta area.
Jared S. is proficient in and teaches Bass Guitar Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Well First we'd discuss the anatomy of the bass and its different parts and the posture necessary to play, and get them going on some exercise from a general bass guitar book. we'd then decide what style they want to play and build from simple bass lines to more rhythmical and harmonically complex bass lines. Id also have them listen to records and tracks from bass players in their desired genre. Depending on how long I get to teach my students we may get to some music theory and improvisation but overall they can expect to have fun and make progress.
What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Well First we'd discuss the anatomy of the double bass and its different parts and the posture necessary to play, and get them going on some exercise from a general double bass book. We'd then read simple bass lines from Bach Chorales to more rhythmical and harmonically complex bass lines from composers like Tchaikovsky. Id also have them listen to orchestral works so they can understand the role their instrument plays within the orchestra. Once we have a decent grip and understanding of the instrument we'd then move on to Concertos and solo pieces to really tackle our technique and individual sound. Depending on how long I get to teach my students we may get to some music theory and improvisation but overall they can expect to have fun and make progress.
