I have a Master’s Degree in jazz focusing on double bass from Webster University in STL, graduating in 2016. I play jazz professionally in the STL Missouri/metro east region of Illinois. I'm an active pit orchestra musician in several theater companies in the area. I can also teach classical bass and play professionally in that field as well. I was in the Air Force band career field for 25 years, and have a wealth of experience in pop/country/soul/funk and other styles on electric bass also. I can read notation and fake book music and can create lessons on Finale music software. I can play by ear as well. I design individual lessons targeting a student's weaknesses, and maximizing their strengths. I can impart this professional knowledge to a student at their level. You will improve quickly. I prefer students who take playing seriously, but we also have a very good time learning!
