What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
In a piano lesson, students should expect to gain substantial knowledge about the instrument and music it can create, as well as improving technique every lesson based on posture, form, and style.
Formal Education:
Jessica has an Associate's Degree in Professional Music from The School for Music Vocations, and is currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies-Voice at the University of North Texas.
Private Education:
Jessica studied for 10 years with private voice teachers in Iowa, and now studies with instructors at UNT. She has also studied privately with multiple piano teachers at The School for Music Vocations.
Performing Experience:
Since she was 8 years old, Jessica has performed piano and voice in many different venues. She has opened for the Real Group in 2016 with Audio Radiance, a vocal Jazz Ensemble in Iowa, as well as Opening for Accent in 2017. She has played many weddings and lead many a church worship, while also being a regular gigging musician with original music and jazz around the DFW area, as well as back home in Iowa.
Experience Teaching:
Jessica has privately taught both voice and piano for 5 years, and also has experience briefly teaching at Bach to Rock in Flower Mound, as well as being the director of a vocal jazz ensemble at the School for Music Vocations.
