Dilan has always loved music from an early age. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and continued his education by learning different styles of music. His musical influences include Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Mick Ronson, B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Jerry Garcia, David Bowie, among others. Dilan's favorite thing about music is the way that one can endlessly express and make other people feel, and his favorite thing about teaching music is the opportunity to change somebody’s experience of music. From only listening, to being able to make music and enjoy the process of doing it. When taking lessons with Dilan you can expect patience, hard work, a sense of love for music, lots of talk about music, fun, and overall a lot of homework to practice. What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
From songwriting lessons, we will study different approaches of songwriting that have been used over the years. From jazz, to rock, to pop contemporary. We will study a bit of poetry, as well as different chord progressions that’s have been used, and word association and clarity of thoughts. When songwriting, objectivity is very important, so we will work on every aspect of songwriting for as long as the student needs
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
My students can expect to learn different kinds of vocal approach in music, learning different styles, from operatic vocal works, to more contemporary like jazz, or pop singing. As a teacher I will focus on the student’s needs because the voice is a very complex instrument to maintain and develop.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
As my student, you can expect to have fun at learning the instrument, I will strive to develop the love and passion a student of music needs to have. My lessons will be personalized for every student, focusing on whatever the student needs and wants to learn, and we will broaden any information the student already has of music. I will help my students reach their desired potential, but most of all, I will never let any student down.
