Hello. My name is Jairo. I was born in California and I moved to Las Vegas 15 years ago. I play oboe and English horn in the UNLV Symphony Orchestra and I regularly sub in the UNLV Chamber Orchestra. I have been playing oboe for 13 years, the last 5 years have included professional experience with various groups in the Las Vegas area, such as the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, Sin City Opera, and many others. My teaching philosophy is simple: work hard and practice. Playing music should be enjoyable and I believe in finding ways to make practice just as enjoyable as performance. What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect clear and precise instruction with explanations as to why certain musical passages are played as such. Students can also expect to have a good time while learning some very serious music and more about the oboe.

Bachelor's of Music, Performance from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Graduating May 2019

Former teachers include Nathan Swain, Dr. Matthew Guschl, and Dr, Stephen Caplan.

Performes include solo recitals, symphony orchestra concerts, Wind Ensemble concerts, opera orchestra, and ballet orchestra
