Dane started his musical journey playing the piano from age 8 to 10. After that he played the saxophone for 3 years. At 13, Dane began electric bass lessons and has never looked back. Within a year of playing bass, he joined a band of other young musicians which played all over California, received instrument endorsements, and performed at the '96 Olympic games in Atlanta. This experience helped prepare Dane for his future career in music. Since then, he has toured the country, played on numerous records, and given bass lessons. He studied music at City College in San Francisco where he plays in the Philharmonic, and has had the opportunity to study with Richard Fenner and Rebecca Mauleon-Santana among others.
Dane has been touring all over North America for the last 4 years with reggae legend Pato Banton, and also with the Mystic Roots band. Before that he played professionaly with Northern California's rhumba flamenco band Cascada. Dane is currently writing his solo album in between tours which is due out in summer 2011.

My education includes: 2 years of college level music classes, college jazz band and college orchestra on electric and upright bass, jazz band in highschool and junior high, elementry marching band on saxaphone
Private Education:
I took private lessons throughout childhood and off and on as an adult.
Performing Experience:
I hav been playing gigs since age 13. I played the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta at age 14. I have massive touring experience all over North America full time for the last 4 years.
