About Me
Teaching, playing, and composing music is my passion! Imagine how different this world would be without music.  Hi, My name is Eugene. I am a guitarist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and educator. I’ve been playing the guitar since I was 7-years old and consider playing and teaching music my passion. I hold Master’s Degree in Jazz studies from UNLV and I’ve been an adjunct music professor at CSN for almost 20 years. I am very well versed in different styles of music, from Classical, Jazz, Flamenco, Blues, and Pop, to Rock, R&B, Funk, Metal, and more. I have been teaching guitar for over 30 years and I enjoy teaching all ages. Besides guitar (electric, acoustic, nylon string), I also teach electric bass, music fundamentals, music composition, improvisation, songwriting, and much more. My guitar heroes include Andres Segovia, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Pat Metheny, Joe Pass, John Scofield, B.B. King, Ritchie Blackmore, and Steve Vai. I lead a Jazz quartet in Las Vegas called theProject. TheProject has recorded two albums with my original music and is getting ready to record the third at the end of 2018. I have received two Fellowships in Composition from Nevada Arts Council, as well as numerous ASCAPlus Jazz and Pop Awards, and an honorable mention in the Billboard Songwriting Contest. I have shared the stage with Sandy Duncan, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Walt Weiskopf, Art Van Damme, and others. I am endorsed by Martin Guitar, Eminence Speaker LLC, Radial Engineering Ltd, AMT Electronics, and Thomastik-Infeld Strings. The things I like to do for fun are watching soccer, movies, going to museums, and spending time with my family. I speak English, Russian, and Hebrew.

Review:

first lesson

Eugene was fantastic and he has me on the right path going forward. I am looking foreword to my future lessons. Michael Gardner wrote on Fri, 11 Jan 2019

    2nd lesson

Eugene is teaching me at my pace using a metronome and it is helping me tremendously to learn the beat. I am learning slowly and each week I will pick up the pace as it becomes easier for me. I have scheduled 4 half hour lessons and plan to continue as long as I can afford to. Michael Gardner wrote on Fri, 18 Jan 2019
