Austin L.
Guitar Lessons
Home or Webcam
Austin began playing the guitar at the age of 8. Over the years, he developed his skills further by taking lessons for 6 years, playing in bands, studying music theory, taking guitar and music-centric courses in high school and college, and learning about live performance from working in live audio. He gained performance experience in the Las Vegas area by playing at such venues as the House of Blues and Panevino, with acts such as the Music Forward Foundation's Noelle Chiodo. Though Austin can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Yes, which have had a great influence on his style of playing. Austin loves music because it's fun and it makes people feel good, and loves teaching music because it's a great way to share what he loves with other musicians! If you're looking to learn guitar for the first time, or are a lifelong player who wants to learn even more about playing your instrument, Austin can help you expand and enhance your playing. Austin is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. Sign up now to schedule a meeting!
Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
At a typical lesson, a beginner student should expect to learn some guitar fundamentals in addition to anything in particular that they would like to learn, be it a song, music theory, or specific technique. Intermediate students can expect to be aided in learning techniques, songs, theory, etc. with close guidance and demonstration, as well as some constructive critique and analysis of what they're playing, and how they're playing it. Above all, students should expect to have fun and be free to express themselves openly, because that's what playing music is all about! Every lesson should be cordial, challenging, educational, and enjoyable!
