Hi, my name is Rachelle and I am a singer. I have been a student of music for 13 years. My musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald and Esperanza Spalding and I also enjoy songwriting. My teaching style can best be described as supportive. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I care. In my lessons, you can expect to learn to sing with power and freedom. I like to tell my students that learning to sing isn't about gaining something, it's about unleashing something you've already got. My favorite thing about teaching is sharing joy. My favorite performance was when a ska band I was in got to open for The Wailers. My students love that I have such diverse musical experience. I primarily teach pop, but I can also teach jazz, classical, and opera. My approach as a teacher is to work on what the student wants to work on and focus on building a strong instrument so they can sing with freedom. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. I have performed at music festivals in an 8 piece ska band, as part of a jazz duo at private events/bars/restaurants, in churches and halls singing classical, and in theatres performing musical theatre pieces. I have performed many genres of music including my own original songs.

I am new to teaching but I have an excellent voice coaches and I am excited to pass on to others what I have learned.
