With over 15 years as a musician and nearly a decade as a producer, recording and mix engineer, music has and always will be my life’s work. I have always gravitated toward education and teaching students in a fun way that is easiest for them to adapt to. Music is one of the most rewarding challenges of our life, but when you learn to play an instrument, you learn to lose yourself in the music and take on one of the purist, most meditative things that this world has to offer. Beginner -
With over a decade of audio engineering, freelance mixing, recording, and mastering, I will help you grow and understand what it takes to become a recording engineer. I have a deep understanding of the concepts that people struggle the most with when they begin the journey to audio engineering, and will help you grow the arsenal of skill needed to produce a recording at radio level quality.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Expect a fun environment! We will go through all things, whether a beginner or intermediate, learn chords and scales, conquer your first song. For the intermediate learner we will explore music theory and song structure from a guitarist standpoint. I teach from my recording studio, so I will also teach you aspects of playing with a metronome and we can even lay down a few tracks for you to listen back to later.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Learn all the fundamentals of this rhythmic instrument. For beginners, we will start with learning how to “play in the pocket” and keep time. We will go through various scales and theory exercises. Come help me conquer your first song, and beyond. I teach from my home studio, and have a house drum set. Learn how to keep time with a drummer and communicate with them to hold the rhythm section of live performance.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner -
Whether a beginner or beyond, we will delve into theory, song structure, and the small nuances that build and layer to create a well orchestrated song. As a producer and songwriter for over a decade, I teach from my home recording studio. Bring in a song that you are struggling with and we will record some scratch tracks for you to build your song around. Learn how to take what you visualize in your head, and turn it into the finished masterpiece you dream of.
