Hi, my name is Joshua and I have played music for around 7 years. In exclusion to the elementary school recorder, I began playing the violin in 5th grade and am currently continuing it as one of my main instruments all the way until my senior year of high school at Osbourn. Currently, I am in the top orchestral group at my high school. I have led the violin section and whole orchestra for my junior year and hope to continue this for my senior year. Besides the violin, I am professional in three other instructions: the piano, guitar, and ukulele. I have taught myself the piano at the age of 15 and have excelled in the past year to play pieces that go above and beyond those typically learning for a year. In addition to music in school, I have been playing the guitar for a year and am currently making the jump from the beginning level to the Advanced III level highest guitar level. I hope to spread passion and ability by teaching music! I believe music is an absolutely amazing way of strengthening mind and perspective. I don't want any of my students to see learning music as an academic task, but as a passion, hobby, and past time

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner -
(For Violin only) Students should expect me to introduce them the basics of music and violin technique and form. I aim to solidify intonation and also offer many ways in order to develop string skills and abilities.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Student should expect me to introduce them the basics of music and piano technique. As a self-taught pianist, I too had struggled to learn piano and had expedited my learning process through thorough analysis of technique and repetition.
Formal Education:
Osbourn High School-> George Mason University
Private Education:
For a bit of time, I did receive violin lessons myself in order to introduce myself to new technique and transition from intermediate to advanced playing for violin.
Performing Experience:
Performing experiences range from performances in public events at my high school and also(occassionally) in public.
Experience Teaching:
Years spent in orchestra at my school has taught me many key points of leadership. As a violinist, I am a pivotal player in my section and also have lead as the Concert master for the past two years in my high school orchestra.
