Zachary has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 8 and continued his education by attending the University of North Texas. His musical influences include rock, latin, jazz, funk, heavy metal, and punk. Zachary's favorite thing about music is being able to express himself and his favorite thing about teaching music is getting to share his knowledge with others. One of his favorite teaching experiences was teaching at Bridgeland High School. When taking lessons with Zachary you can expect lots of great tips on how to be a successful musician. What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Students can expect to be able to develop great habits that can be applied to any genre of music they wish. We will touch on technique, rudiments, independence, reading, and ensemble skills.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Students can expect to learn about the fundamentals of music theory, and how it applies into everyday music. We will discuss topics such as how to write melodies and how to fit those melodies within a given chord structure.

Performing Experience:
Played all the through high school (consistent superior rating player/region band attendee). I also performed in several local ensembles in the Cypress area. Recently, I participated in the UNT concert ensembles.
Experience Teaching:
I taught as a marching tech at Bridgeland high school, and as a substitute instructor at the School of Rock. I also have classroom teaching experience with 4-5 year old children.
