Hi, my name is Christian and I am a graduate from Marshall University and currently a masters student at George Mason University. My musical influences include jazz, gospel, classical, and Latin American music. As far as teaching, I believe in tailoring everything to the student's wants and to make sure they learn techniques and concepts to teach them how to play musically. I like to focus on improvisation, ear training, and scales with all of my students to teach them to rely on their ears and to make music from their minds instead of always from the paper. I primarily teach trombone, but I can also teach trumpet. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Hope to meet you soon!

In addition to whatever the student wants to focus on, students of all genres can expect to learn their scales, various practice techniques to learn music on paper and by ear, and learn how to improvise and learn how to play by ear.
