Nicole has always loved music from an early age. She began playing the piano, and singing at the age of 5 years old, and continued her education by going to college. Her musical influences include Alicia Keys. Nicole's favorite thing about music is playing live at her shows and festivals and her favorite thing about teaching music is helping a student overcome their doubts. What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Songwriting is a bit different. Not only will we be focusing on one instrument, but two; Voice and Piano. I'll teach song structure, different variations of chord progressions, melodies, and how to match chords with certain chords. I build the confidence of learning how to play and sing at the same time.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
My music background is very diverse and versatile. During my keyboard and piano lessons, students can expect to learn scales, music theory, and a progress report of our weekly progress.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
During my Voice Lessons, students will expect to warm up at the beginning of each lesson, then we'll move forward to our song choice, go over certain areas such as; Breathing, dictation, tone quality, pitch accuracy, and even stage presence, just to name a few. Just like in my piano lessons, students can expect to receive a weekly progress report of the progress we've made so far.
Formal Education:
My formal education began in high school in my piano class. My teacher was Mr. Rudy. In college, I was taught Music Theory, Jazz Theory, Arual Skills (Ear Training), Stage Presence just to name a few.
Private Education:
In college I took a lot of private classical and and commercial piano and voice lessons.
Performing Experience:
I began teaching 2 years ago in 2016 at students' home and at different studios around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex
Experience Teaching:
I teach different styles of piano and voice and I just began teaching songwriting this year.
